Safe and Together: Promoting Human Rights for Adult and Children Survivors of Domestic Violence
With over 25 years’ experience in the domestic violence field, David Mandel’s international training and consulting focuses on improving systems’ responses to domestic violence when children are involved. Drawing upon his experiences working with child welfare agencies in the US, UK, Australia and other countries, David will lead through an introduction to a domestic violence-informed systems change. David will discuss how a perpetrator pattern-based approach can improve outcomes for both the adult and child survivors. He will also discuss the implications for improving safe engagement of perpetrators as parents, and the importance of this approach for communities experiencing oppression and histories of marginalization.
